I designed and developed OctoAI's flagship Photobooth app, a versatile and re-themeable application used at key events. The app leverages Octo’s endpoints for real-time photo transformations, effectively demonstrating the speed and capabilities of Octo’s technology in action.
The latest version, "The AI Time Machine," was a standout at the AI Engineer World’s Fair, generating more than 600 leads during the three-day event.
I led the effort to define, design, develop, and deploy the app.
The app flow looks like this:
The beauty of the Photobooth demo is its flexibility to be easily re-themed for different use cases. For example, with the AI Time Machine, conference attendees could “travel” to two distinct time periods: one showcasing the future and the other exploring the past.
The Photobooth was a huge success! Here’s the team with some printouts, ready to be picked up by attendees.
The demo stands out for how effectively it encourages people to share it, thanks to its "cool" factor. We added branding to the printouts, and as you can see, attendees can’t resist posting about it. The AI Engineer World's Fair event founder even tweeted about it!
Here’s an example of the emails sent through the custom Intercom integration. I made sure it was optimized for mobile, knowing most attendees would be checking for their snapshots on their phones while walking around the various booths.
Another major event for the Photobooth demo was Google Next. OctoAI had the chance to collaborate with Google to create “The Next Yearbook.” We were given wall space, and attendees absolutely loved it!
Here’s a look at the photo wall!
Attendees shared their yearbook snapshots, tagging OctoAI by name, which boosted brand awareness while spreading branded photos across their networks.
